A documentary photographer specializing in travel and human-interest stories and images, J. uses photography to explore the human experience and paint extraordinary pictures of ordinary people, moments, and places.

Her background stems in communications and multimedia – she holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a Master of Arts in Integrated Design. She has written communications for some of the most prestigious Federal Government agencies, including the Executive Office of the President, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. She has also interviewed some of the most high-profile leaders and CEOs, including Navy warship captain Matthew Brown, Parachute Founder & CEO Ariel Kaye, PERIOD. Founder Nadya Okamoto, Mama Glow Founder Latham Thomas, and Wethos CEO & Co-Founder Rachel Renock.

A NeON Photography – a program sponsored by the National Endowment for the Arts and Seeing for Ourselves nonprofit – instructor, she’s captured Too Many Zooz in concert, moments and events at the GrowNYC farmer’s market, and cultural events sponsored by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs at Redeemer West Side.

Through the Quipu of Encounters led by artist and poet Cecilia Vicuña at The Wassaic Project and the Guggenheim Museum, she is currently working on a commissioned project involving Environmental Racism with GrowNYC’s Gardens at NYCHA that will be publicly streamed and featured at the National Public Housing Museum.
